PROFILE
Hon. Mr. Justice Egispo Mwansa is a Judge of the High Court, Industrial Relations Division. He was appointed to the High Court on 20th March, 2016. Justice Mwansa holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia. He was admitted to the bar in 2000.
Prior to his current appointment, Justice Mwansa served as Deputy Chairperson of the Industrial Relations Court from 2014 to 2016. Justice Mwansa has served in various positions in the Judiciary since he first joined as a Magistrate Class III in 1991, these include Acting Chief Administrator of the Judiciary from 2012 to 2014, Registrar of the High Court and Director of Court Operations from 2010 to 2012, Deputy Director, Court Operations from 2006 to 2010, Principal Resident Magistrate from 2003 to 2006, Senior Resident Magistrate from 2002 to 2003, Resident Magistrate from 2000 to 2002, Magistrate Class 1 from 1995 to 2000 and Magistrate Class II from 1993 to 1995.
Justice Mwansa also served as Secretary to the Judicial Service Commission and Council of Law Reporting, a statutory body established under Chapter 46 of the Laws of Zambia.
Prior to joining the Judiciary, Justice Mwansa served in the Ministry of Education as a Secondary School Teacher, teaching Biology.
He is a member of a number of professional associations, including the Magistrates and Judges Association of Zambia and the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Association.
