Hon. Mrs. Justice Flavia Malata Chishimba is a Judge of the Court of Appeal. She was appointed Judge of the Court of Appeal on 13th June, 2016. Justice Chishimba holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Glamorgan in the United Kingdom. She was admitted to the bar in 1995.
Prior to her current appointment, Justice Chishimba served as a Judge of the High Court, Commercial Division from 2011 to 2016. She was appointed Judge of the High Court in 2010. From 1997 to 2010, Justice Chishimba practiced at Fraser Associates, a law firm as an Associate from 1997 to 2000, as Senior Advocate from 2000 to 2003 and as Managing Partner from 2003 to 2010. Justice Chishimba was Board Chairperson of the Zambia Institute of Mass Communications (Zamcom) from 2008 to 2010.
Justice Chishimba is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Commonwealth International Judges and Magistrates Association, International Bar Association, International Association of Women Judges and Zambia Association of Women Judges.
