Hon. Mr. Justice Daniel Musonda is a Judge of the High Court. He was appointed to the High Court on 14th July, 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Zambia. Justice Musonda was admitted to the bar on 24 November 2006
Prior to his current appointment, Justice Daniel Musonda served as a District Registrar to the Kabwe High Court of Zambia and Principal Resident at Kabwe Subordinate Court from 2016 to 2021. Justice Musonda served in various other positions in the Judiciary including Senior Resident Magistrate for Kitwe Subordinate court from 2012 to 2016, Resident Magistrate at Luanshya Subordinate Court from 2009 to 2012 and Resident Magistrate at Mansa Subordinate Court from 2007 to2009
Justice Musonda served in the Zambia Police Service from 1996 to2007. He held the position of a Senior Legal Officer from 2004 to 2007, Officer-in-Charge for Chilenje police station from 1997 to 2000. At the time he left the police service, Justice Musonda held the rank of Chief Superintendent.
He is a member of the Magistrates and Judges Association of Zambia.
