Hon. Mr. Justice Just Mwiinde Siavwapa is a Judge President of the Court of Appeal having been appointed on 3rd April, 2023. He ascended to the Court of Appeal Bench on 13th November, 2017. Justice Siavwapa holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia and a Master of Laws from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom. He was admitted to the Bar in 1999. He also holds a Secondary School Teachers’ Diploma from the then Kwame Nkrumah Teachers’ College
Prior to his appointment to the Court of Appeal, Justice Siavwapa was the Judge-in-Charge of the Lusaka High Court, Commercial Division. He previously served as Judge-in-Charge of the General list at Lusaka High Court, Kabwe High Court and Ndola High Court. He was appointed Judge of the High Court in 2010. Justice Siavwapa has served in various position in the Judiciary since he first joined as a Lay Magistrate in 1991. Justice Siavwapa served as a Resident Magistrate from 1990 to 2000, a Senior Resident Magistrate from 2000 to 2002, Principal Resident Magistrate from 2002 to 2003, Deputy Registrar of the High Court from 2003 to 2005 and Registrar of the High Court and Acting Chief Administrator from 2005 to 2007. He was appointed to the bench as Deputy Chairperson of the Industrial Relations Court in 2007. From 1985 to 1991, Justice Siavwapa served as a Secondary School Teacher. He was Board member of the Zambia Institute for Business Studies and Industrial Practice (Kitwe) in 2003.
Justice Siavwapa is a member of the Magistrates and Judges Association.
