Hon. Mrs. Justice Pixie Kasonde Yangailo is a Judge of the High Court. She was appointed Judge of the High Court on 12th May, 2016. Justice Yangailo holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia. She was admitted to the bar in 1993. Prior to her current appointment, Justice Yangailo served as Managing Partner of P.H. Yangailo & Company, from 2004 to 2016. Justice Yangailo served as In-house Legal Counsel of Price Waterhouse Coopers from 1997 to 2003. From 1993 to 1997, she served as a legal practitioner at the National Legal Aid Clinic for Women. Justice Yangailo served as Vice Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission from 2004 to 2013 and as Chairperson from 2013 to 2016. Justice Yangailo previously served as a member of the Council of the Law Association of Zambia. She also served on the boards of the Care for Business (CFB) Hospital Board of Trustees, the Human Rights Committee and Women’s Interest Group (WIG) of the International Bar Association and the Institute of Directors. Justice Yangailo is a member of the Zambia Association of Women Judges.
