PROFILE
Hon. Mrs. Justice Alice Mipunga Ntambo Sitali is a Judge of the High Court. She was appointed Judge of the High Court on 14th July, 2021. Justice Sitali holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legislative Drafting from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education. She was admitted to the bar in 2005.
Prior to her current appointment, Justice Sitali served as Deputy Chief State Advocate at the National Prosecution Authority from 2016 to 2021. From 2013 to 2016, she served as Senior Research Advocate in the Supreme Court of the Judiciary of Zambia. Prior to her appointment as Senior Research Advocate, Justice Sitali served at the Legal Aid Board from 2005 to 2013 where she rose through the ranks from Assistant Senior Legal Aid Counsel up to Principal Legal Aid Counsel at Lusaka. From 2005 to 2008, Justice Sitali served as a Legal Aid Counsel in the Department of Legal Aid in the Ministry of Justice until she transitioned to the present day Legal Aid Board as Senior Legal Aid Counsel. While at Legal Aid Board, Justice Sitali was appointed as Task Manager under the Access to Justice Program, whose aim was to improve communication and encourage corporation among the major justice institutions, to aid the speedy delivery of justice.
She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Zambia Association of Women Judges.
