It is with great appreciation that I extend my warmest greetings to you all on the eve of International Women’s Day, which we commemorate tomorrow, 8th March, 2025. This year, we celebrate under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment”. This is a timely reminder of the importance of inclusivity, empowerment and the role of women in shaping the Judiciary and the broader justice system.
The Judiciary stands as a pillar of justice and the contributions of women within this institution are both invaluable and indispensable. women in the Judiciary bring , unique blend to the administration of justice. As we honour this day, let us reaffirm our commitment  to embracing  and  supporting  the contributions  of “women at all levels of the Judiciary.
It is important to recognise that the success of the Judiciary is not achieved by a single individual or a group of individuals but through the collective and continuous efforts of everyone within this institution. Every contribution, no matter how small, plays a crucial role in strengthening our justice system. The responsibility of upholding justice is shared by all and it is through unity and dedication that we will continue to build a judiciary that is responsive, inclusive efficient and effective.
I am also aware that the Women Judges Association is organising a fundraising dinner in keeping with the “women’s month”. I encourage you all to purchase your ticket and attend this dinner. I hope this event will provide an opportunity to recognise the remarkable achievements of female adjudicators and other women.
who have made significant contributions to the justice sector. It is my sincere hope that this dinner will serve a platform to honour their dedication and inspire more women to take up leadership roles within the Judiciary.
As the Judiciary participates in various activities to commemorate this important day across the country, I implore all staff to uphold the dignity and values of our institution.
I extend my sincere gratitude to all women in the Judiciary and the legal profession for their continued dedication and contribution. May we continue to build an inclusive Judiciary where every individual, regardless of gender, has an equal opportunity to thrive and make a difference.
As we commemorate Women’s Day, we must also acknowledge that Youth Day follows closely on 12th March, 2025. Our youth also include young women and girls. These young professionals represent the future of the Judiciary. Their energy, fresh perspectives and innovative ideas are instrumental in ensuring that our judicial system evolves to meet the changing needs of society.
Let us also take this opportunity to appreciate their contributions and encourage them to continue doing their best as they grow within our institution.
