Hon. Mr. Justice Jones Chinyama is a Judge of the Supreme Court. He was appointed to the Supreme Court on 22nd March, 2016. Justice Chinyama holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia. He was admitted to the bar in 2000.
Prior to his current appointment, Justice Chinyama was the Chairman of the Industrial Relations Court at Lusaka. Since Joining the Judiciary in 1987, Justice Chinyama has served as a Lay Magistrate at the Chinsali Subordinate Court from 1988 to 1989, Kaputa Subordinate Court from 1989 to 1990, Luanshya Subordinate Court from 1990 to 1996 and Kafue Subordinate Court from 1996 to 2000. Justice Chinyama also served at Mansa Subordinate Court as a Resident Magistrate and Senior Resident Magistrate. He was the first Principal Resident Magistrate for the Lusaka Subordinate Court at Chikwa. Justice Chinyama also served as Acting Deputy Registrar of the Lusaka High Court from 2005 to 2007 and Deputy Registrar of the Ndola High Court from 2007 to 2010. He was appointed Judge of the Industrial Relations Court in 2010.
