PROFILE
Hon. Lady Justice Annie Nsama Chisanga is a Judge of the High Court at Kitwe, appointed on 27th May 2026. Prior to her appointment to the Bench, she served as Registrar of the High Court Commercial Division from August 2021.
Justice Chisanga holds a Master of Laws Degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legislative Drafting from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE) and was admitted to the Bar on 22nd February 2013.
Justice Chisanga has undertaken various professional training programmes and certifications, including Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights by the Patents and Companies Registration Agency and the Judiciary of Zambia in 2024, and Introduction to Domestic Arbitration through the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Zambia Branch in 2014. She has also completed a number of programmes through the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), including the Commercial Law Training Programme, International Arbitration and Investor-State Dispute Settlement, and Ethics and Taxation Law.
Before joining the Judiciary, Justice Chisanga worked in private practice as an Associate Advocate and Legal Assistant at AMC Legal Practitioners from September 2010 to October 2014. She began her legal career as a Learner Legal Practitioner and Intern at Messrs. Central Chambers from July 2007 to November 2009.
Justice Chisanga is a member of the Magistrates and Judges Association of Zambia (MAJAZ) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), London and Zambia Branch.
