As we come to the end of 2016, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the dedication, hard work and resilience you exhibited throughout the year.
Indeed, 2016 has been an exceptionally eventful and busy year for the Judiciary given the rapid transformation of the Institution arising from the changes brought about by the Constitution of Zambia (Amendment) Act No. 2 of 2016 which, among others things, established two new superior courts.
But I am glad that you all put in your best in ensuring that we executed our mandate and lived up to our Vision and Mission as an Institution.
I urge you to work even harder in 2017. Although we have achieved a lot in 2016, we still have a lot more to do in 2017.
I urge you all to celebrate this festive season responsibly. Let us utilise this period to rejuvenate ourselves so that we may return with renewed energy in the coming year.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2017.
