The Judiciary’s mandate is the resolution of disputes, which is derived from the people of Zambia in accordance with Article 118 of the Constitution of Zambia (as amended). Pursuant to the said Article, the Judiciary’s Mandate is the delivery of Justice to all in a speedy manner.
Effective March 2015, the Judiciary identified dismantling of backlog as the main way of achieving its objective though among other things, the use of Court-Annexed Mediation. As such, the Judiciary will be conducting a mediation settlement week from 13th November to 24th November 2017 in the following venues:
Lusaka – Supreme Court Foyer
Ndola – High Court Premises
Kitwe – High Court Premises
The Public is, therefore, informed that all Litigants whose matters have been referred to mediation will receive notices of hearing through the High Court Registry in due course.
