Hon. Mrs. Justice Susan Mtonga Wanjelani is the Judge-in-Charge of the Lusaka High Court – Economic and Financial Crimes Division. She was appointed to the High Court on 12th May, 2016. Justice Wanjelani holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Cape Town. She was admitted to the bar in 2004 Prior to her current appointment, Justice Wanjelani served as Principal State Advocate in the Ministry of Justice. Justice Wanjelani served as Acting Treasury Counsel at the Ministry of Finance and National Planning from 2009 to 2010, Acting Principal State Advocate at the Ministry of Justice from 2008 to 2009, Senior Counsel at the Ministry of Justice from 2007 to 2008, Senior State Advocate in 2007, State Advocate from 2004 to 2005 and a Learner Legal Practitioner at Ministry of Justice from 2003 to 2004. Justice Wanjelani has served as a member of the National Road Fund Agency Board, the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management board , Quantity Surveyors Board and the Lotteries Control Board. Justice Wanjelani is a member of the Zambia Association of Women Judges.
