Hon. Lady Justice Angelica Kennedy-Mwanza was appointed Judge of the High Court on 27th May 2026. Prior to her appointment, she served as Principal State Advocate at the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) from July 2014.
Justice Kennedy-Mwanza holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Westminster, United Kingdom, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Zambia, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legislative Drafting from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE). She was admitted to the Bar on 14th March 2014.
Before pursuing her legal career, Justice Kennedy-Mwanza worked in corporate banking and management. She served as Country Sales and Marketing Manager for Microfin Africa Zambia Limited from 2004 to 2007, Account Manager at Industrial Credit Company Limited (ICC), and Assistant Banking Operations Officer at Bank of China Zambia Limited.
She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (United Kingdom) and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Evelyn Hone College.
Justice Mwanza served as a Learner Legal Practitioner at Shamwana and Company from 2012 to 2013. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM), United Kingdom, and a Member of the Association of MBAs (AMBA), United Kingdom.
