Hon. Lady Justice Ireen Tilisa Wishimanga is a Judge of the Economic and Financial Crimes Division of the High Court, appointed on 27th May 2026. Before the current appointment, she served as Chief Resident Magistrate at the Lusaka Subordinate Court.
Justice Wishimanga holds a Master of Laws Degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law from the University of Lusaka and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Zambian Open University. She was admitted to the Bar in 2012.
She joined the Judiciary of Zambia in 1996 as a Court Interpreter. Following her admission to the Bar, she was appointed as a Resident Magistrate in 2012. In 2016, she was promoted to Senior Resident Magistrate and later rose through the ranks to serve as Principal Resident Magistrate before serving as the Acting Chief Resident Magistrate. She was also among the first Magistrates assigned to the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Juvenile Courts and the Economic and Financial Crimes Court.
