Hon. Mr. Justice McRobby Vincent Chiwale is a Judge of the High Court. He was appointed Judge on 27thMay 2026. Before his appointment, he served as Managing Partner at McRobby Chiwale and Company from March 2023.
Justice Chiwale holds a Master of Laws Degree in Commercial Law from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Zambia. He was admitted to the Bar on 20th December 1998.
Justice Chiwale began his legal career as a Learner Legal Practitioner at Mushota & Associates from 1995 to 1998. He later served as an Investigations Officer at the Anti-Corruption Commission from 1998 to 1999 before joining I.C. Ng’onga & Company as an Associate Advocate from 1999 to 2003.
Justice Chiwale joined the Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO) Limited in 2003, serving as Principal Legal Officer from November 2003 to February 2010. He rose through the ranks to the positions of Chief Legal Officer from February 2010 to March 2015, Senior Manager Legal Services and Assistant Company Secretary from March 2015 to December 2016, and Director – Legal Services and Company Secretary from December 2016 to February 2023, respectively.
Justice Chiwale has undertaken professional development programmes in arbitration, mediation, corporate governance, leadership, and commercial law, including training with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) and other international institutions. Justice Chiwale is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb), and a member of the Institute of Directors.
